Tis The Season...for kittens

So as the spring season comes around, so do baby kittens to our animal hospital. People bring one, sometimes, several in at a time and say they found them anywhere from their ceiling to their trash can. Most times I think people should leave them so that their mom, who is probably off relocating the other siblings, can come back and pick these ones up. Kittens are always better off with their mom...but then again, being the person that I am, if I saw a cute baby boy kitten on the sidewalk I would bring him in too. THIS is what happened to my latest 4 legged house guest. He (who has been named Monkey) was found by a little boy outside of his house on the sidewalk. He is alot older than the kittens we usually get - we figure he is about 3-4 weeks old. I volunteered to "foster" him...haha. Usually after taking turns fostering other cats in the past I have been all to happy to see them go to good homes. Monkey, however, is kind of growing on me...quickly. He stares right into my eyes and looks at me like I'm his mom...I guess I do feed him, so...maybe I just need a real baby!?!?! Our house is turning into a ZOO! Anyway, I adore him, so we will see what happens. I promised my family I would post pictures so enjoy.

This is our first day with him (Saturday)

These are from yesterday

He fell asleep in my lap after his bottle

I took this video of him walking (running) around ... if you look closely in the background you can almost see my dogs drooling...

Cute! To be honest I don't really like cats, but if they could all remain little kittens I would LOVE them! He is adorable, and you are a good "mama" for taking him in :)

Adorable. Love the name too!

I love your blog colors and template. You will have to tell me how you set up those pics of Monkey in that arrangement. That baffles me.

him is soooooo cute. i would have a hard time letting him go. and it doesnt help that you totally gave him a name. that will make it harder to let him go.

It's sooo tough not to fall in love with them (I'm a prime example of this character flaw). My favourite thing to do to the kittens at this age is to rub their little tummies and paws while they're eating, kind of like a gentle massage. Later in life, they don't mind having their feet touched, and they even sometimes ask me to rub their paws and toes as they're falling asleep :) Monkey is a real cutie!
If you decide you want to place him and don't know of anyone who wants to adopt, you can use my Petfinder account. That way you can screen any applicants before you even have to meet them.

Hey thanks Sarah! That kitty is SO CUTE!! I keep trying to get my parents to get a new one! Yeah sorry about the generalization, but the lady I talked to was SUCH A RETARD! It was amusing and a little frustrating haha!
