Christmas Stockings

So I got a pattern for Christmas Stocking from JoAnn's...and didn't follow any of the design ideas. haha I started looking at Christmas fabric and only liked a few of them. Kev said he didn't want the pattern to look to "busy", so I kind of just went with my own style. It turned out ok I think, but now I just have to make a second one...Anyway, very non-traditional Christmas stocking, but I think they will be fun to have hanging over our fireplace...

Puppy needs a home...

So over the weekend I was "babysitting" a puppy. Her name is Bree, I'm not exactly sure what kind of dog she is but she will probably get pretty big and she needs a home. She is about 6 months old I think. She LOVED playing with our dogs and picked up things VERY quickly, like going potty outside and fetch. She loves to be loved and really needs a home! SO if anyone in the Vegas area is interested please let me know!

"Lazy" Sunday Afternoon

Our dogs have been VERY dirty lately...mostly because Kevin and I are too lazy to stick them in the tub...it's a hassle with two of them and we end up with most of the water and shampoo on us! Anyway, our way of "cheating" is to take the dogs out in the front yard and spray them with the hose. Mansin, of course, thinks this is a game. Charlee is usually a little more suspicious and hides by the front door until she realizes that Mansin is having a great time without her and of course she can't be left out. So, here is a little video of how our dogs get exercised and "washed" all at the same time.

(listen about 24 seconds in and you can hear Kevin fart! HAHA)

Walk Me Home...

So yesterday Kevin and I went to a charity walk for foster care that I had signed us up for at the animal hospital a few weeks ago. He wasn't really thrilled about getting up early on a Saturday, but my boss paid for us and our hospital was a sponsor, so he was a good sport and went along with it. We had a great time, it was a beautiful day and we got free T-shirts and food so what more can you ask for? We had a small booth where we gave away dog treats, leashes and free exam cards after the walk. This was the First Annual "Walk Me Home To The Place I Belong" and they actually had a great turn out! Thanks to Denise, Karen and Rick for walking along with us and keeping us laughing!

House-sitting

Here I am again after a long absence...I haven't been able to find time to blog, so I have some catching up to do.

A couple of weekends ago I went to house-sit for a hospital client that was going out of the country for the weekend. This is not an un-usual thing for me to do, but it was the first time I had stayed at this particular home. I love house-sitting, mainly because people who ask me to do this are not poor, therefore have rather nice houses which usually include pools (and nice cars)! haha So here are some pictures of our adventures at that house.

On Sunday Kevin came to spend the day with me and brought our dogs who were very quickly put in their place by the small dog that I was watching. My dogs of course had to investigate every corner of the property and found a few things they didn't like so much...

All around the pool are different carvings of animals. As soon as the dogs caught site of this big cougar or whatever it is they both ran up barking to investigate (Ok, anyone who knows Mansin knows that he was scared first and wouldn't go anywhere near it) and finally got close enough to sniff and realized that it was no threat. I still caught them looking over their shoulders throughout the day though, just to be sure...

Charlee finally decided to join Kevin in the pool and didn't want to get out - I don't have any pictures of Mansin in the pool because he wouldn't go in without me in the pool also. So here are a couple of our water-dog Charlee.
