Today during my lunch at the storage, I stopped by the animal hospital to drop off some stuff. When I went to the back the girls told me I was just in time to help with an emergency c-section on a little Yorkie. She was pregnant with 3 puppies and while in labor the first pup got stuck in the birth canal and died. So they had to do the surgery to get the other 2 out - the first one came out SO tiny and Jen (the tech) and I got to work on her. The second one was twice as big and the other doctor there started working on her. So, our little girl started out pretty good and we could feel a faint heartbeat, but she still was not breathing. After several minutes of working on her we lost her heartbeat...I was very determined that this tiny girl would live! So I started doing tiny chest compressions and CPR and we finally got her to take a breath! I almost dropped her I was so shocked and excited!!! So we kept working on her to keep her breathing and keep her warm and she started to get squirmy and breathing alot better on her own! I could have cried I was SO excited! Anyway, it's been a long time since I have helped with this kind of situation and I forget how much I LOVE my job at the animal hospital! So here are a couple of pictures after our little girl started breathing good on her own. Sadly the other bigger little girl, although she had a heartbeat, never took a breath. But I was still very happy to have helped save one of the little pups!

Chazden's Birthday
So this is a little late but I still had to post it. Cherie's son Chazden just turned 3 and on the 3oth they had a party for him at a place called Pump It Up. It's a great place for kids and they get to play for hours on those blow up toys with the slides...anyway, afterwards, they had pizza and cake for him. Most kids I know are SO shy when people sing happy birthday to them - Not Chaz - he sang right along and was THRILLED at the attention. So I took a video and told his parents I would post it - so enjoy!
